Thursday marked the official beginning of spring and it lifts us all seeing sunnier days, warmer temperatures and lighter mornings.

Last weekend the Christchurch Girls' High School / Te Kura o Hine Waiora First XV rugby team travelled to Dunedin to play St Hilda’s in the South Island secondary schoolgirls final.

Last week over three days (Thursday, Friday and Saturday) the Christchurch Girls’ High School / Te Kura o Hine Waiora auditioned choir Cantrices competed against the nation’s top 24 choirs in The Big Sing’s National Finale.

Petra Curd-McCullough, student at Christchurch Girls' High School / Te Kura o Hine Wiaora (Year 13) was selected to represent New Zealand as a member of the senior girls Squash team and was also appointed captain of the Girls Team.
