Early today the Commonwealth and the world received the news that Queen Elizabeth 11 had died.

During tournament week, the Christchurch Girls' High School / Te Kura o Hine Waiora 1st XI Hockey team travelled to Napier to compete at Federation Cup, the highest level secondary school girls national competition, which is attended by 32 teams each year.

On 28 of September, our Senior A Netball team hopped in a van and headed down to Timaru, for the long awaited South Island Secondary Schools Netball tournament.

Our Senior A basketball team consisting of 12 players, 2 coaches, Sam Jenkins and Courtney Godinet, as well as their team manager and a teacher travelled to Invercargill for their South Island Secondary Schools AA Basketball tournament, which was held at ILT Stadium.

Last week during tournament week, Equestrian Sports New Zealand hosted its first ever South Island Secondary Schools Tournament at McLeans Island in Christchurch.

On Sunday 28th August, our enthusiastic team of six wonderful actors participated in the Senior Theatresports competition organised by The Court Theatre. As always, the team performed exceptionally and were wonderful ambassadors for our kura.

On Sunday 28th August, our second XI hockey team travelled up to Taupō to compete in the prestigious Chris Arthur Cup tournament.

School examinations for all senior students will take place from Thursday 15 September - Friday 23rd September 2022.

We are delighted to announce our coaching team for the 2022 - 2023 season. Our Head Coach is the extremely experienced and successful Gary Hay with Assistant Coaches ex world champion Zoe McBride, Joe Barclay, Alice Drummond, Sophie Chapman and current NZ Junior Orla Fitzgerald.

Please join us, Eco Action, on Sunday 18 September between 10am-12 noon at 28 Chimera Crescent and help our students and their communities plant 3000 native trees and plants they have grown.
