Following the unprecedented situation we are in, the school raffle has been postponed until further notice.

I thought seeing as we may all go a little stir crazy with cabin fever over the next 4 weeks, I would share some home workout programs each week for those whom want to keep fit and healthy over this isolation period. It is completely optional and you are in no way obliged to get involved but if you are like me and love to be active then having all sport suspended makes me want to do some form of exercise.

To my embarrassment, I didn’t know the names of all my neighbours. I can give excuses: how recently people have moved into the neighbourhood, my capacity for forgetting names… but the truth of it remains.

Congratulations to all our students on a ground breaking sports day for Columba College or should I say bone breaking for some... Nevertheless, what an incredible event 2020 was; the full school spirit and camaraderie was delightful to see and the sportsmanship shown throughout an absolute highlight to begin the year.

The annual French Film Festival was cut short this year but Columba Students still got involved.

It is important to be thankful, especially when we face difficult or unusual circumstances. Dr Jennifer Macleod invites our Junior School Pupils to make a thankfulness journal and to write in it every day.

Year 11 students taking French get to organise their own class outing in Term 1. This year we decided to host our own cinema experience!

Thursday and Friday’s classes this week for Year 7 English were designed to ensure that everyone could access the various parts of technology we would use in the coming weeks.
