It has been along time since the Heaton board has been involved in the Newsletter so I like to start with a great big 'Hi!' from all of us. 

Heaton Normal Intermediate School works on a subscription basis with SchoolDocs, an online website service to maintain, update, and review our policies. SchoolDocs provides us with a comprehensive core set of policies which have been well researched and follow the Ministry of Education National Administration Guidelines.

Kapa haka recently performed to whānau and had the opportunity to share the way ahead for this outstanding group of students.

The popular Scholastic Book Fair is returning to the Heaton LRC.  Parents,  mark Wednesday 14th June  on your calendar for the "Reading with the Stars" evening, 6.30pm to 7.30pm. 

We warmly invite parents/caregivers and prospective students to our Open Night on Thursday 27 July 6.30 p.m. - 8.30 p.m. Principal's address will be at 6.30 p.m. and repeated at 7.30 p.m.

In the weeks leading up to Heaton’s Year 8 Market Day, our classes have been bustling with creativity and cooperation as groups of Year 8 students worked hard to prepare their unique products for the market day.

Heaton goes pink in support of national anti-bullying campaign.

The 2017 External Competitions include ICAS English, Writing, Spelling, Mathematics, Digital Technologies, Science and Australian Mathematics Competition. In addition to this, Year 8 students are also able to participate in the Junior Big Science Competition.
