Academic Awards Assembly

by Jon Rogers

Our Academic Awards Assembly was held Tuesday 6th March. It was a wonderful assembly attended by all students in Years 10-13 and about 50 family members. Students who had achieved well in NCEA in 2017 were acknowledged for their efforts. Our guest speaker, Daisy Lavea-Timo entertained and encouraged the students with some very thoughtful words and it was a pleasure to recognise the achievements of so many students.

This worked well with just on a third of the students competing in the competitive environment and the rest participating socially and gaining house points by completing each event offered.
