Advance notice of a Paid Union Meeting

As part of our collective agreement we have been notified that all NZEI teachers will be required to attend a Paid Union Meeting from 1 pm to 3 pm on Wednesday 20 March 2024. The purpose of these special meetings will be to review the current campaigns and discuss issues arising from the recent change of government.

With this in mind, we would ask for your support. If you are able to collect your children early at 1 pm on Wednesday 20 March (gates will be open at 12:50 pm), this would be greatly appreciated.

If this is not possible, we will be providing supervision for the remaining children until 3 pm.

We would please ask that you either collect your child at 1 pm or 3 pm. We cannot facilitate pick ups in between these times.

Please inform your child’s classroom teacher as soon as possible, if your child needs to remain at school on 20 March, so supervision can be arranged. If students travel home without parental supervision, please inform the classroom teacher of your arrangements.
