Kristan Mouat was remembered as a "gentle soul" at a packed memorial service.

LPHS students performed confidently in the Regional Chamber Music Contest, and many groups came away with awards.

Sports has been busy at LPHS this term.

The snowy weather in Aoraki/Mt Cook did nothing to stop the year 11 geography classes having a blast. Ms Summerfield, Mr O’Farrell, Mr Dixon, and Mr Parsons even managed to fill us with some information.

On Saturday 24 June the Logan Park Library hosted the Otago / Southland Interschool Team Championship chess Tournament. We were the defending champions. The top place school from both Otago and Southland would get to go to Nationals in September.

On Thursday, 29 June, our year 9 Drama and Dance students performed their show, for friends and whanau.

Logan Park was lucky enough to be given the opportunity to host three post graduate students from WEN (Women in Engineering Network) at Auckland University. They came to give a talk about the applications of science and mathematics in the field of engineering.

On Tuesday the 30th of May, the LPHS chamber music groups performed at Balmacewen Intermediate and Summerset Retirement Village.

The Virtual Triathlon took place at the Stadium. Teams of 3 rowed 1.5Km, rode 3Km then ran 1.5Km. Logan had 4 Junior and 3 Senior teams.

All our French classes had the opportunity to take part in a French community afternoon on the 12th of June.

On Friday the 16th of July four Logan Park students: Elaine Li, Samayah Madill, Oskar Weber, and Bodhi Boroughf, participated in the annual Japanese Trivia Quiz, organised by the New Zealand Association of Japanese Language Teachers.

Jordan Turner has once again entered into the Tūhura Photography Competition organised by the Otago Museum.

In June Sasha Barnes-Gardner had the opportunity to participate in a three-day cake decorating workshop.

Our quatrieme and troisieme (Year 9 and 10 French) had ample opportunities in Term 2 to use their French in authentic situations.
