Our tamariki have again been presented with rich learning opportunities, focussed teaching and support to develop crucial academic and social skills.

I am very pleased to let you know that the 2024 Easter Fair was a huge success. The hundreds and hundreds of volunteer hours generously given has resulted in a sizable donation of $55,923.91 to Māpua School. This money will support learning in our classrooms, as well as helping us make our learning and play spaces better.

At the start of this term, the Junior Team jumped on a bus and headed to Kaiteretere for a day of fun and games.

The Intermediate Team has been enjoying growing and developing fundamental sports skills with Daniel from Sport Tasman.

Over the last few weeks, we have been lucky to have the incredible team from Ride On, Sports Tasman working with the Y5-8s.

The Juniors are designing and making a mini golf course for you to play at our Matariki celebration.

The Intermediates have been involved in the Design Process in preparation for creating their products for the Matariki Market.

Each Friday the Year 7's get together to participate in the Financial Literacy programme, MoneyTime. We have a mini-lesson and learn about all the necessary terminology prior to using our computer to complete the module and the quizzes.

Thanks to everyone who was able to support the school by purchasing a book, or in some cases several books! This year was our best year ever with over $1600 to spend on new books.

We had the opportunity to improve our scooting skills and it was AWESOME!

In Week 3 the Year 8's had a fantastic day in Kaiteretere enjoying some Waka Ama and some competitive orienteering!
