Lunchtime in the Library

Our school library has become a popular spot during lunchtime. Students are welcome to come in and enjoy a quiet space to read, play games, or just take a break from the busy playground.

Many of our tamariki have been making the most of the board games generously donated by our school PTA. These have added a fun and social element to the library, and it's been great to see students working together, problem-solving, and enjoying each other's company.

The library continues to be a valued part of the school day, offering something for everyone—whether it's reading quietly, playing a game, or simply enjoying a calm space.

A big thank you to the PTA for their support and to all the students who help make the library a welcoming place for everyone.

Swimming Weeks at Auahiroa

Our swimming programme is well underway! This year, we are swimming at a new venue—Matatiki Pools in Hornby. Our tamariki began their Swim Safety lessons this week and will continue every day next week (Week 11).

These lessons are a great opportunity for students to build confidence in the water, refine their swimming techniques, and develop essential water safety skills.

It’s been fantastic to see the enthusiasm and effort from our students as they challenge themselves in the water. Whether it’s perfecting their strokes, practicing floating techniques, or learning how to stay safe in different water conditions, these lessons are equipping them with valuable lifelong skills.

We’re looking forward to another great week of swimming ahead!
