Year 5-8 NorthWest Swimming Meet

Congratulations to our swimmers

On Friday 21 March the NorthWest swimming meet was held, Merrin school had 30 competitors take part. We are very proud of the effort each and everyone of the students put in and know it takes a lot of courage to put yourself out there. From this meet we have 7 students who have progressed to compete in the Primary Sport Canterbury swim meet on the 3rd April.

We wish our swimmers well and know they will put everything they have into their races.

Merrin School Cross Country 2025

Take your mark, get set, GO....

On Friday, 2nd May, you are warmly invited to watch your child/children participate in the Merrin School Cross Country event at Burnside Park.

One of the purposes of this event is to give our students and staff another opportunity to showcase our school values. The second is to find our top runners across the school, as those children will have the chance to compete at another event later in the term.

This event will run from 10 am to approximately 1.30 pm. The children and staff will walk down to Burnside Park just before their race. The times for the races below are only estimates and will depend on the timing of the previous races.

The postponement date will be on Monday, 5th May, but we will only use this for extreme weather.
