It’s hard to imagine we are at the end of Term 2 already! I’d like to take a moment to thank you all for your perseverance this term.

While most of us are relaxing into the holidays Aria Purdie has been in Wellington on an all expenses paid business challenge.

Huge congratulations goes out to four of our Mountie students who were winners in the Aigantighe Artarama on Saturday 1st July.

Manu Kōrero is the annual regional speech competition that happens all over Aotearoa, New Zealand. Mountainview High School attended the Waitaha Regional competition at Kaiapoi High School.

Warm up on the first day of the SISS Junior Netball Tournament in Christchurch, saw our Mountie girls off to a good start.

What a fantastic close competition with only 1mm separating 1st and 2nd place.

Big ups to the whole Jazz Band. Each member worked really hard to entertain, and to improve their own skills.

About a month ago this year's Smallbore rifle shooting season began.

Having a wander through our Art room recently and I came across an impressive selection of work from the students who were in the class.

A couple of photos taken at our Spanish Quiz Night fundraiser recently. Fantastic to see the support from friends, family, teachers and our local community. A great fun night had by all. Thank you all for your support. 😊

Our students enjoyed attending the Women in Trades Expo held mid June at the Southern Trust Events Centre. They were able to try out new and exciting things as well as learning about the many different industries that have potential training pathways for women.

There are many things we can do to do keep ourselves and others well this winter.

The event is in Lake Tekapo and last year was the inaugural race. They had 1000 runners and walkers enjoy the event, with competitors coming from all over New Zealand and off shore. The organisers are really excited to bring this event back to Tekapo this year.
