This week has been another one with lots of school and community achievements. 

Anneke and Hannah representing Oaklands at the Ellesmere Speech competition. 

We would like to invite all parents/ caregivers to our Oaklands School Quiz Night. Tickets are now on sale from the Oaklands School office. Tickets are $10 per person and teams of 6 are needed. BYO beer and wine. Fantastic raffles available at the door, food and non-alcoholic drinks will be sold on the night. Doors open at 6:30pm and the Quiz starts at 7pm. We would love to see you there. All proceeds go towards the Year 8 trip to Wellington.

On 16 June, 10 students sat the ICAS Writing exam and the results have been received. 

To be presented at the next school assembly on Monday September 12th at 2pm.

At the recent 9th Grade Waimak Football Tournament held in Rangiora at the weekend a number of talented football players from Oaklands took part.

A successful year on the netball courts for Riley.

Congratulations to the talented Jakob Manson who was chosen as the Most Dedicated Player for his Halswell Hornets 11s team for this year.

It was great to see so many student showing our assembly expectations in the team assemblies on Monday. Great work team!

We have itinerant music teachers who come into our school each week and offer music lessons.

Any child leaving or arriving at school between 9am and 3pm must be signed out at the office.

A reminder that students cannot be on the school grounds before 8.30am in the mornings.

With the large number of students unwell it is really important that you let the office know if your child will not be at school.

In Terms 1 and 4, all students must wear a hat when they are outdoors.

The purpose of our complaints policy is to provide clear guidelines for the school community in raising and resolving concerns and complaints.
