What a week Pāpāmoa College Year 7/8 students had from Saturday 3 - 9 September! We had 149 students competing across 16 different sporting codes. All the students had an absolute blast and represented Pāpāmoa College with great passion and pride.

On Wednesday 28 September we had the most amazing time with our LMS Disco!

From Monday 29 August - Friday 2 September Pāpāmoa College had 7 teams competing in their codes across the North Island in the National Secondary School Winter Tournament Week.

Earlier this year Taylah Medeiros (Y10) was selected as a finalist in the 2022 Lions Foundation Play it Strange Songwriting Competition.

On Tuesday 27 September we had four very talented Year 7 and 8 students who took part in the WBOP Police Blue Light PCT (Physical Competency Test) Challenge.

NCEA exams start on Monday 7 November.

Papamoa College has joined the Paper4Trees environmental sustainability programme.

We were excited to celebrate the opening of our second new Modular building in September.

We recently enjoyed two amazing performances of the ridiculously funny play 'Cow' from our very talented Year 12/13 drama students.

On Friday 16 September Tatahi 1 & 4 classes went on a Mauao Field Trip to consolidate learning from the Term.

On Friday 16 September we held a very special Mufti Day in memory of Mark Weedon, to raise money for External Defibrillator machines for Pāpāmoa Community.

As part of our Social Science in Awa, students were asked to investigate a human rights violation and come up with a social action to help.

Our Sports Awards Evening will take place on Thursday 3 November. We are seeking nominations for the Major Sports Awards.

Congratulations to Year 11 student Tallulah Haynes who was awarded a highly commended award for her performance at the Tauranga Opera Forum scholarship competition on Saturday 17 September.

The LMS had their speech finals were held on Friday 16 September. It was a great success and the standard of speeches was very high

Te Toka Āhuru students Jai Ihaka (Y8), Ruby Paton (Y7) and Tiara Smith (Y13) have loved attending equine therapy at NZRDA during Term Three.

On Monday 12 and Tuesday 13 September, twenty of our Year 12 & 13 students completed their Osh Forklift Licence.

To celebrate Te Wiki o Te Reo Māori, Mr Weber organised for Awa commons to complete a range of weaving (raranga) activities. We had baskets, (rourou) Fish (ika) and some beautiful head pieces.

Students are expected to attend school every weekday throughout the term, from 8.35am to 3.00pm (except for later starts on Wednesdays at 8.55am)
