Thank you very much to those of you who took the time last term to complete the Board Survey 2018 and provide us with useful information that will be used to improve aspects of school life.

The title of the art installation was "Tree of Dreams." People were encouraged to collaborate and connect their hopes and dreams to our tree in the form of glowing bunting flags.

Every Tuesday lunchtime in Tatahi Learning Commons there is a club for students who can go and chat and learn how to knit. This is available to all students and you don’t have to know the first thing about knitting to join.

At Papamoa Plaza, on Saturday 18 August, the Papamoa College Enviro - Council sold all the Tote bags we designed and printed, and also several Forest and Bird calendars and diaries.

The first day of school in 2019 for year 8 - 13 students is Tuesday 29 January. For year 7 students it is Wednesday 30 January.

The Uniform Shop is now located at Unit 2 / 60 Parton Road, Papamoa.

International sports coach Wayne Goldsmith has influenced the coaching, thinking and teaching of some of the world’s leading athletes, coaches and teams.

On Friday 17 August a group of students from Papamoa College represented our school at the Indoor Bowls Pre Aims Tournament which was held at the Mount Sports Centre.

One of our Year 11 students in our Future Focus programme, Dominik Mayfield, is tackling real life environmental issues with his project that he has submitted as part of the Bay of Plenty NIWA Science and Technology Fair.

The AIMS GAMES 2018 are being held in Tauranga from Sunday 9 – Friday 14 September 2018.

A huge congratulations to Janelle Reid (Dance Teacher) and our year 11-13 dancers who performed in two dances last week at the Regional Dance NZ Made competition.

Do you know we have a Breakfast Club.... It operates each school day from 8am. It is for all students that may of had a early morning sports training, missed brekkie, running late, still hungry or just like breakfast!

Aloha Papamoa, the world renowned Papamoa College Quiz Night is not too far away! With an idyllic Island Paradise theme this year you need to be sure that Saturday 22 September is marked on your calendar.

Monday 10 September – Friday 14 September is Derived Grade Exam week for all year 11, 12 and 13 students.

All Year 11, 12 & 13 students will incur a NZQA Fee of $76.70.
