Week 4 Term 2 Newsletter 2024

Kia ora tatou, Talofa lava, Mālō e lelei, Kia orana, Bula vinaka, Namaste, Nǐ hǎo, Salve, Bonjour, Kamusta, de Groeten, Greetings.

Thank you for the great support our community has shown us especially during the couple of events we had last week. The Senior Cross Country and walk was a great success and a number of our parents commented on the great use of Southbrook Park as the venue. Thanks to the team here at school who did the planning for this, alongside the help of the Sports Canterbury sports activators who we are working with as part of our Healthy Active Learner programme. The Junior Fun Run was also a huge success, especially with the special parachute end!  Please have a look at the articles within this publication regarding the other work the HAL team is doing within our school as part of our Strategic Goal.

Next Friday 31 May, added to the Kings Birthday weekend, we hold our term 2 staff only day. All schools were given a two week window to put this day in, and the majority of schools have chosen Friday 31st May for this to happen.  The Board approved the Staff only days in August last year, and these have been notified regularly since then and identified on the school calendar. Thanks so much for your ongoing support.

It is great to see an improvement already for our children arriving late to school. We know that there are some circumstances where it is difficult, but we are always happy to work with our whānau to support at any time. Thank you again!

Keep smiling

Shane
