We are through hump week (the mid way point of the term) which means we are closer to the end of the term than the beginning, which of course also means we are closer to ski season opening. Speaking of which please, please read the notice further on concerning the school ski programme. Thank you for registering your child’s ski ability etc. If you haven’t please ensure you do this by the appointed date.
Communicating learning, the name we attach to what is traditionally called reporting to parents, or reports. Everything we’re doing around this is based on the belief that communicating learning should be an ongoing experience, not an event like 'report time'. For a full, yet simple overview of what to expect and when, have a look at this infographic found on our website. Strongly connected to that is you as parents are welcome any time to contact your child’s mentor and arrange a mutually suitable time to talk about their learning. Ideally this is done with your child as they are the main participant in the process.
Shortly we will be publishing the mid year progress charts for your child/ren. We will notify you in a dedicated email when these are live. To view them you’ll need to be able to login into your LincEd account. If you haven’t yet logged in to this or would like some assistance to do so please connect with Lisa in ‘mission control’ (the office) in the first instance.
Even if you’re not a sailor, you should watch some of the America’s Cup and just admire the technological innovation and thinking that has a sail boat all but flying and travelling considerably faster than the wind. By the way, capsize or not, we'll still get there. Team New Zealand will win the cup… you heard it here first.
