Next week we send off our first ever group of young leaders to the National Young Leaders Conference in Dunedin.
They have and are working hard to raise the funds to attend this day. This includes the bake sale they have been running out of Shotz Cafe each morning. The piece de resistance so far, I think is the Shotover branded cake produced by Miles and Cole last Friday.
You will see some reminders about getting your child to and from school safely further on in the newsletter. The action of some parents that causes me serious concern is those that will stop their vehicle part way down the kiss and drop road when they spot their child and then call them to come and get in the car quickly. This causes the child to run between cars and is incredibly unsafe. It also stops the whole flow of traffic for kiss and drop. Please, please, please refrain from doing this when you are picking up your child.
We have published how we will respond and communicate when we have adverse weather. Please make sure you’ve read and are familiar with this. If you have any questions please get in touch with us.
I am getting very excited, with Americas Cup racing only days away, it could be a tense few weeks.
