The Ranfurly Shield of New Zealand schoolboy rugby, the Moascar Cup has been brought home by the TBHS First XV!

Our next Board has been elected. This resets it for a new and expansive period of good service and governance on behalf of our community. We are grateful to all of the parents who stood for election, and those who cast votes to select our Parent Trustees.

On Thursday 9 June, the ANTS (Advanced Naturally Talented Students) experienced an afternoon of activities. 

Tucked away in a quiet area of our school is the Learning Centre. Providing both in-class and individual support, our teacher aides are based in this physically appealing centre that is equipped with technology and educational resources for students who require support with their learning. 

"Fusion in the Sun" placed second at the Smokefree Rockquest South Canterbury District finals.

While gathering data for a number of NCEA History Internal and External Assessment Standards, students were also given the opportunity of experiencing some of the excitement of the original miners with activities such as gold panning. Kurtis Doudle, was however, the only student to find a small gold particle!

The Lion King Jr closed its four day season in Hogben Hall with sold out performances and over 1500 impressed audience members.

SADD (Students Against Dangerous Driving) are young, kiwi change-makers working hard in our schools and communities to improve teen safety on the roads.

A number of close results dominated the annual winter sports exchange between Timaru Boys’ and St Andrew’s from Christchurch. There were two draws and a number of close matches both in Timaru and Christchurch.

Two passionate, exuberant and talented performers, Abli and Ago, recently presented an exciting display of Ghanaian culture to all Year 9-13 Music and Drama students. 

Year 11 History students had a very 'challenging' visit to our museum this month when they participated in a new 'Survivor' game focusing on World War I locations. 

Perfect conditions awaited the students at this year’s Aoraki Cross Country Champs at Mountainview High School and it proved to be a very successful day for our runners.

Sixteen of our students travelled to Christchurch to compete in the Road Running Championships for Canterbury secondary schools in mid-May.
