SISS ATHLETICS SUCCESS

The South Island Secondary School Athletics Championships were held over the weekend in Timaru. With athletes coming from all over the South Island it was a big event for our students and one they did extremely well in. Massive congratulations to Zaylee Davis who took out the South Island Under 14 girls 200m and Long Jump title and to Briar Craig who won the Under 14 Triple Jump title. We had 9 students selected from 14 for their Aoraki Secondary School events with the following results: 

Under 19 Girls

Erica Lucas -  2nd place 100m and 3rd place 200m

Under 14 Boys

Jonty Charles - 11th 400m 

Under 14 Girls

Zaylee Davis - 1st place 200m, 1st Long Jump, 2nd 100m

Briar Craig - 1st Triple Jump, 4th Javelin

Emily Heeren - 12th 1500m, 10th 3000m 

U14 Girls 4x100m Relay Team Zaylee Davis, Briar Craig, Emily Heeren, Sammy Hill - 4th
