SOUTH CANTERBURY BASKETBALL

Last weekend six Waimate High School students went to Invercargill to represent South Canterbury for Basketball. 

Emily and Elie have been selected in the under 18 girls team. They had a great tournament coming away with 2 wins and 2 losses.

Kayla and Sally have been selected in the Under 16 Girls Black team.  They also had a great tournament coming away with 3 wins and 1 loss.

Lily Kay has been selected in the Under 16 Girls Green team. This team came away with 2 wins and 2 losses.

Fergus has been selected in the Under 16 Boys White team.  In one of his games at the tournament they went into extra time.  Was a very exciting game.  They came away with 2 wins and 2 losses.

The teams played teams from Southland, Otago, Central Otago, Eastern and North Otago.

Good luck to Emily, Elie, Briar, Kayla and Sally who head to Nelson in the holidays to the Mainlands Qualifying Tournament.
