Exploring Opportunities at Otago Polytechnic

    by Cathy Shearer

On Wednesday 10 April, Steph Kerslake, Liaison Officer from Otago Polytechnic, visited and gave an interesting and informative presentation about the 180 courses offered at the polytechnic. From architecture, sport, avalanche and snowsports, nursing, occupational therapy (only place this course is available in the South Island), engineering, culinary arts, computing, farming, design, stone masonry, and so much more, there are a plethora of opportunities for students to explore!

Explore what is offered at Otago Polytechnic via this link. Students are welcome to contact Steph by email Steph.Kerslake@op.ac.nz with any questions they may have.

A reminder to check out the article in today's newsletter article "Exploring Future Paths: Careers at Waimate High School!" which includes upcoming events such as the Dunedin Tertiary Day 26-27 May and University of Otago & Otago Polytechnic Info Evening for students and whānau in Timaru on 25 June or in Oamaru on 26 June.

Attending tertiary liaison visits provides our students with a firsthand look at the diverse range of courses, facilities, and support services that tertiary providers offer, and can help students narrow down their choices when deciding on potential study options.
