Principal's Word - Term 1 Week 7
Kia ora everyone!
Lovely to see the rain today! I know a lot of us have been eagerly awaiting it. It does signal a change in season and this leads me nicely to remind families about school uniform. We have had a lot of students wear hoodies to school and during school. These are most definitely NOT school uniform - even when walking to and from school. The school has a supply of brand-new black jackets that we can give to students. We can also provide financial assistance with uniform items so please reach out if you need help. Non-regulation uniform will be confiscated for the day.
Some exciting news is that I'm off on a marketing trip to China in the April holidays and we are hoping to be able to host between 20 and 30 students in Term 3 for 3 weeks. We will need host families for them. If you are interested in hosting some students, then please email the office and when we have more information we will be in touch. International students really do add a cultural vibrancy to the school and our students learn as much from them as they do from us. We are looking forward to welcoming them in Term 3.
Good luck to the touch team travelling to Christchurch this week!
Have a great weekend,
Jo
