Tū Tamatoa Noho Marae
65 students connect at Wainuiomata Marae to strengthen the work of Tū Tamatoa, our Māori student group.
On Thursday and Friday our senior students welcomed over 50 Year 9 - 11 students onto Wainuiomata Marae. The purpose of the noho was to strengthen the growth and connection of members (current and new) of Tū Tamatoa - ākonga Māori rōpū. It sets the foundation for which students can build whakawhanaungatanga, student leadership, confidence in haka, tuakana teina, goal setting, and more, all within an environment that uplifts and affirms their Māoritanga. We thank the senior students for all of their mahi in planning for this noho, and the kaiako that supported them along the way.
