Here we are at the end of Term 3 and almost through the school year, particularly for seniors who will finish on 01 November, just over two weeks after returning from the holidays.

Last weekend, the Te Kura o Hine Waiora kapa haka group stood at the Tūhono kapa haka competition. We performed a waiata tira (choral) called Māreikura, which was dedicated to our special friend, our whānau prefect and member of our group who stood at these competitions in 2020, Kate Gutry.

Last Saturday, two of our year 12 music students, Cleo Cavell and Scarlett Robson, played at the National Smokefree Rockquest Final.

The Canterbury Westland Science and Technology Fair was held over the weekend of the 24 and 25 September.

You are all welcome to view the beautiful collection of woodcut prints year 10 visual art students have produced for the Ōtautahi Christchurch Days of Ice Festival.

Last week two students, Ella Meikle and Lucy Holdaway, competed for Christchurch Girls' High School/Te Kura o Hine Waiora in the South Island Secondary Schools Ski and Snowboarding Championships.

The Australian Mathematics Competition is sat by the most talented mathematicians in New Zealand and Australia. This year we had only a small number of Year 9, 10 and 11 Christchurch Girls High Students who participated in this competition.

9ONJ all collected items and made a care basket which we used to raise money for the Salvation Army. The total amount we had raised as a class was $220!
