KingsWay's Got Talent!

    by KingsWay School

It’s been a busy Term 3 for the Senior School Arts Council as we prepared for the annual KingsWay’s Got Talent, a celebratory showcase of student’s gifts and talents.

We started off with Primary School auditions which were held over three days with over 85 students auditioning an impressive range of skills, we then held our Middle and Senior School auditions and made the tough decision on what students would make it through to the Grand Finals on Senior Campus.

We were fortunate enough to have the Americas Got Talent judges join us for the Grand Finals; Howie Stern (Mr. Robertson), Sofia Vergara (Mrs. Gatman), Heidi Klum (Mrs. Mittermeier), and Simon Cowell (Mr. Ward).

After a very exciting grand final displaying an array of talents like singing, dancing, musical instruments, and acrobatics; the judges awarded the overall winner to Chloe-Leigh Wiggett from Year 8, Chloe-Leigh wowed the judges and the audience with her exceptional contemporary dancing. Prizes were also awarded to individuals in each age category, Year 1-4, Year 5-8 and Year 9-13. These age category winners were Year 2 student Camelia Wang (piano), Year 5 student Kei Chanakha (Hip Hop dancing) and the band ‘Neatiocre’ made up of Year 12 students.

Well done to all the participants, from the auditions to the final performances. KingsWay certainly does have talent!
