NCEA Sunset Solos

The inaugural NCEA Sunset Solos was a huge success, with positive feedback from performers and the audience. 

The evening was uplifting and supportive as Music students performed their solo assessments to the KingsWay community. Everyone performed exceptionally, showcasing various instruments and genres, keeping the evening highly entertaining. The Year 11s performed first - a massive step for many who had never performed for a larger audience. Seeing these students step out and overcome their fears while being supported and cheered on by their peers was amazing. A tasty supper with brownies, hot chocolates and marshmallows followed the first half before the Level 2 and 3 NCEA students performed. These students performed excellently, wowing the audience through their technical skill and expression. 

All students put in a monumental amount of work to present this concert and did so at a professional level. We look forward to another Sunset Solos concert in 2024!
