Road Safety during Road Patrol
- please wait until the patrollers say "cross now" before you enter the crossing, the patrollers have a safety check to do before they both agree that it is safe for you to cross.
- when the crossing is operational, you need to set an example and use the crossing also.
-when the flags are up, and the patrollers are working, U-turns are not permitted on Barnes road between the corner of Hayes road and Robinsons road. This is so our children 'on patrol' can see what is happening on the street and make safe decisions for our pedestrians.
- thank you for parking in designated parking spots and for driving through the crossing slowly, during school hours the road speed is 40km.
-please do not pull into or use the staff driveway and carpark during road patrol times.
- try not to have a conversation with the adult supervising the crossing. They have a big job to do which is hard to do when distracted. We welcome greetings, but should be focussing on the crossing rather than chatting.
