Visit this articleFor the next two weeks we, as a school, are looking at the concept of Grit. The children will be discussing what this looks like with a Growth Mindset focus. Grit is our passion and perseverance towards reaching a long-term goal while resilience is the optimism to keep bouncing back from failure. Both of these traits for success are rooted in a growth mindset, and the good news is that a growth mindset means you can learn, develop and build your resilience and grit. The children have been asked to 'interview' someone at home about a time that person has had to use grit. Get your thinking caps on - it would be great to hear your real examples!

Visit this articleOn Monday the 21st of May all (most) students of our school LPS took part in Cross Country. In the morning of Monday the sun was shining and looked to be a great day for running. Buses took the years 1-4 to Ferrymead Park where they were going to run. The run course for the juniors was a lap around the lush grass that was slightly damp but made it fun!
