Congratulations to all our award recipients and performers at the MGC Sports Prizegiving Ceremony on Wednesday 11 October 2023. We are very proud of your hard work, dedication, commitment to your team and sportsperson-ship. Regardless of whether you win, loss or drew, you represent our school region and our country with pride.

As 60 years passed, we celebrated a special weekend with present and past MGC Principals, students and teachers, sharing memories, stories and antics!

Last night, three MGC Business teams competed in the YES regional finals held in Nelson. They were up against some tough competition from Waimea College, so unfortunately didn't come away with a win, however, they did come away with the three Business Excellence awards noted below.

On Tuesday from 2pm, we will be showcasing the Visual Arts senior portfolios and selected examples of artwork created in our junior programmes. Our doors will be open until 6:30pm, so if you have a moment between those times, please join us in celebrating the hard work of our students, and selected examples of artwork created in our junior programmes.

Four MGC students travelled the last four days of the school holidays to Dunedin for the Te Waipounamu Maori Rakatahi Rugby Tournament, representing U17 Wahine Te Tau Ihu.

Jazmine Moon competed at the TUNZ Open Championship 2023 in Wellington over the holidays. Jazmine took home a Gold medal in Traditional Poomsae. We are very proud of Jazmine!
