Year 4 Speech Stars!

We have had an exciting start to the term with 8 brave year 4's voluntarily taking part in the speech competition.

We are so proud of our speech stars for taking the time to construct and edit a speech on their chosen topic. The bravery and ako that was shown in presenting their facts and information to their audience demonstrated fantastic Rangatiratanga.

Delivering speeches can be quite a nervous event, especially in front of a whole year group as an audience and 4 judges! Thank you to our wonderful judges Ms Boon, SJ, head boy and head girl, Theo and Petra. The contestants certainly did not make it easy for them to judge!

Congratulations to our top 3 placings:

1st Place - Lee-Ann speaking about her passion of Budgies.

2nd Place - Charlotte speaking about her overseas trip to the Colosseum in Rome.

3rd Place - Nikita speaking about the wonderful world of Lego.

Lee-Ann will represent Year 4 for Merrin School when she attends the semi-finals for the Junior Rotary speech competition at Isleworth School in September.

Congratulations to all of our other speech finalists; Veronica, Maddie, Jamie, Jayda and Dresden - you all did a fantastic job and we are so proud of you!
