The Year 4 students visited Green Gold Gardens and Oderings Nursery as a part of their learning around the Food Forest.

In Room 9, the Year 4 and Year 5 students have different topics that they are learning about in Integrated Learning.

On Friday 1st July 2016 the PTA will be holding a DISCO

The PTA raffle tickets need to be back to school by Friday!!

As you can see there are two teams without a scheduled game this Friday. We are in the process of trying to organise friendly games against other schools.

Last week our top Cross Country runners competed in the SW Zone Championships at Halswell Quarry. It was a tough course that included uphill sections, muddy and slippery conditions. The Oaklands students all put in their best effort and here is a summary of the our top results. The children who placed top 12 in their race, have now qualified for the Canterbury Championships later in the term.

Around our vegetable garden we have got signs telling us what vegetables are growing and some interesting facts about them. Come and have a look around.

This week our major values focus is on using our Values in the Cloakrooms.

A how to guide for users

An important message about scooters at school.

The school’s policies and procedures can be viewed by visiting our School Docs site. Policies currently under review are advertised in the school newsletter.

Dates for your diary.

Any child leaving or arriving at school between 9am and 3pm must be signed out at the office.

With the large number of students unwell it is really important that you let the office know if your child will not be at school.

In Terms 1 and 4, all students must wear a hat when they are outdoors.

The purpose of our complaints policy is to provide clear guidelines for the school community in raising and resolving concerns and complaints.

Please respect our NO GO zones and times and be considerate of other students and their families.  

A reminder that students cannot be on the school grounds before 8.30am in the mornings.
