I hope you all had an enjoyable summer break, it was certainly nice to have some sunny weather.

Our year levels are organised in teams with a Collaboration Team Leader for each team.

The Government has issued a requirement that all schools have a policy to ensure children are not using cell phones at school.

Now that the fencing around the field has been removed we can return to all children having the same break times.

We are working hard to finalise our plan for the Bike Track and bikes which will be a great addition to our school for children to use during the day and for the community to use at the weekend.

Te Hononga is our very new classroom block that was finally completed in September 2023.

We believe that effective communication between home and school is very important. We keep you informed through our newsletter which is sent electronically once a month as we use other means to communicate daily or weekly messages and information to you.

To ensure the safety of children and adults coming to and leaving our school we have some very important rules about parking, dropping off and picking up your child.

We are a Travelwise School and want to encourage children to walk, bike, or scooter to school to help reduce traffic around our school.

Along with most other schools the Board of Trustees asks parents and caregivers for a donation to assist with providing additional resources and activities that are not provided for in the funding given to schools by the Government.

We appreciate how difficult it can be to budget for school activities and we want to be able to give you plenty of notice about any trips or activities your child's class go on.

We are looking for enthusiastic parents to join the PTP who can come to meetings and offer to help us out. If you are keen please email sherrylp@oteha.school.nz with your name and your child’s name.
