Most Improved Swimmer

Each year the Bethlehem/Te Puna Lions Foundation presents a medallion to Tauriko Schools most improved swimmer. This student also gets their name on our crest, which is in the school office. We are also very lucky because they donate $100 to the school for swimming equipment. Thank you for this we really appreciate it.

WBEET Aspiring Junior Athletes

Kobe Taylor, Caleb Griffin, Ella Lloyd, Sam Groves, Georgia Barnett and Taylor Groves represented Tauriko School at the WEEBET Aspiring Athletes programme held at Blake Park on Thursday 4th and Friday 5th of April. These students were selected for their outstanding ability in their chosen sport and spent the day learning new skills.

Anzac Writing

ANZAC Day takes place on April 25th. It is a national day of remembrance in Australia and New Zealand. It recognises those killed in war as well as honouring returned servicemen and women. The ceremonies are held at war memorials across the country, or in places overseas where New Zealanders gather.

Artist Workshop for Room 13

Today Room 13 had the privilege of learning how to sketch a face with local Artist Kris Coburn. Kris is a wonderful teacher who is very relatable and incredibly engaging. His teaching technique was easy to follow, with clear, explicit step-by-step instructions. We thoroughly enjoyed our special Art session with Kris and would like to thank him for sharing his expertise with us.
