At Te Koromiko Swannanoa School, senior students have the opportunity to participate in regular Zoom lessons with schools in China.

The lessons include students teaching each other about different topic of interest from our cultures. We have taught Chinese Schools about places of significance in NZ, Kiwiana, how to make lolly cake, NZ native animals and birds and more. The Chinese students have taught us paper folding, how to make clay pandas, about calligraphy, how to do martial arts, to name a few.

To build on this programme we also gave the year 8 students an opportunity to attend a holiday camp in Hong Kong and then Mainland China in the July school holidays. We hope to make this trip an opportunity each year.
