The students had prepared a programme of music from Queen, One Direction and Vance Joy on a variety of instruments. They were joined by two of the senior students who played an acoustic guitar rendition of a Smashing Pumpkins song. The Roadshow included a chance for children to get up close and try out a violin. The students had to overcome nerves and a power interruption, which they did with resilience to the fore. The Rural Scholars Early Childhood Centre were presented an unplugged short set, with ukuleles, guitars and violin. By the end of the day all of them were much more confident in their performances, as well as being very efficient at packing in and packing down the gear. The audiences all seemed very appreciative of the opportunity to have the Roadshow visit their place. Photo shows the class performing to Waimate Main School
