We are nearly at the end of Week 4 of our final term and the children are going great guns.

Last week the Year 5s had a fabulous time at Waiora on their camp. Even though the weather wasn't perfect we all had an amazing time and we are already looking forward to the Year 6 camp at the start of next year.

In Room 16 this term we have been looking at different celebrations and festivals.

On Friday the 24th of November The Breeze 98.2FM will be at Wakari School as we help to 'Stock the Bus' and help families in need this Christmas.

Room 1 has been loving heading off to the pool each day for lessons with JC Swim School.

Our ginger beer is well on its way to being ready to drink. Each morning we add ginger and sugar to our bug and then place it somewhere warm to ferment. 

Every Thursday for the next four weeks we will be doing tennis with some fantastic coaches!

Room 10 and 11 have continued their Nature of Science topic with a number of exciting experiments. 

Later on this month (November 25th) we will be hosting a whānau wānanga (family/day workshop) at our school to give our families the opportunity to experience some of our beautiful Māori arts - such as poi, harakeke (flax weaving), whakairoiro (carving)...and more!

The Junior Syndicate swimmers have been enjoying their time in the pool over the last two weeks!

28 children from the Senior and Middle Syndicate represented Wakari School really well at the recent North Zone Athletic Sports. Here are recounts from some of those who participated.
