I am always so impressed with the extra effort many of our learners make with the work they are doing in their studios, or with their passion projects or with their home learning. In this particular picture Divashna [left side] had continued her technology learning at home.

The newly elected Board met last week for their first meeting. The Board as elected are Simon McDermott, Sam Forward, Rob Hunt, Tegan Dawson-McMurdo, Stephanie Hautler and Megan Murray. Simon was elected to Chair the Board.

Students in Te Pa Harakeke have been learning how to use a core board to communicate. Each Monday we have enjoyed a visit from Ruth (and one of her many animals) who works as a speech language therapist at Waitaha base school.

This year the University of Canterbury will once again be holding The Great Kiwi Spelling Bee competition for primary and intermediate schools.

Once again we are looking to hold an optional ski trip for our Year 5-8 learners to Porter Ski Field on Friday 30th August, Week 6 of Term 3.
