Year 7-9 Mōhua Dean's Report

by Terry Mitchell

Kia ora e te whānau. We are well into Term 2 already, and I’ve been telling the students in Mōhua that Terms 2 and 3 are our “knuckle down” terms, where we get most of the work done for the year. In our weekly hui recently I have been talking a lot about students completing their tasks to their personal best. This means working hard to be better every time rather than trying to be better than someone else.

Year 10-12 Riroriro Dean's Report

by Matt Stock

Kia ora e te whānau. I would like to thank all the students of Riroriro for being super awesome students while I was away with my broken collar bone. Project K

by Kat Matheson

2021 Project K saw a new beginning, with the students starting their 19-day adventure at Craigieburn lodge. From here they walked upstream, through a diverse karst (limestone) landscape of solution holes, rillenkarren (water-grooved rocks) and sculptured rock formations. What a way to start, to open the students up to their real potential.

Stars Mentor

by Lucretia Treadgold

Being a Stars mentor has been a great opportunity, working alongside and getting to know all the Year 9s. I know that we have a long way to go but as a team I believe that we can make a difference. I have been a Stars mentor for 2 years now. I became a mentor because I wanted to reach out to younger students to make them realize that they all have a place in our kura.
