We are incredibly disappointed at the Minister's announcement to end Te Tātoru o Wairau, our rebuild and co-location with Marlborough Boys' College, and the rebuild and re-location of Bohally Intermediate.

As we shared with you in our last Bulletin, the government requires us to change how we manage students' cell phones at school. The new approach is that cell phones must be 'away for the day'.

We are aware of several cases of head lice at the school recently. Lice are spread by direct head to head contact, no matter how clean the hair is.

On the 14th of February, MGC students came together to celebrate all things love but most importantly, self-love.

On Friday 16th February, Marlborough Girls’ College held their Expo Day, where the school's wide range of sports teams, clubs, & committees showcased their different achievements, and activities, in order to gain some new recruits.

At Marlborough Girls’ College, we believe that developing our students’ learning capabilities is as important as the curriculum content. The “Human Machines" which is the new year 11 course covers human biology as well as raises the awareness on the importance of giving back to the community.

Year 9 students and their Peer Mentors are getting ready for an adventure at Anakiwa Outward Bound from March 4th to 7th. They will be going on two days of bonding and growth, centred on our school values: Manaakitanga, Kotahitanga, and Whanaungatanga. Activities include raft building, rogaining, fire lighting, and nurturing Manaakitanga. This opportunity will help strengthen connections with their peers, mentors, and whānau teachers. Note that this is just for one day absences - if you know that a student is to be away for more than one day then you can use the app on a day by day basis, or phone or email the Attendance Office.
