Over the next two weeks all students will attend special subject selection assemblies and receive information to support them to make appropriate decisions about subjects to study in 2018.

A huge congratulatons to our Assistant Principal Bridget Davidson who has just been announced as the winner of the prestigious Otago Girls' High School Highgate Fellowship. This fellowship rewards Mrs Davidson for her outstanding contribution to the school and provides her with an extended professional development opportunity that will benefit the school and the recipient. Our annual Senior Art Exhibition “PORTFOLIO” is being held soon at the Dunedin Community Gallery. It runs from Wednesday 23 August to Friday 1 September. 

Each senior student pays an annual fee when undertaking NCEA. The account of each senior student has been charged $76.70.

On 27 July we welcomed 30 students and two teachers from Yasuda Girls’ High School, Hiroshima, Japan.

On Tuesday 12 March the first Student Learning Conferences will take place for all Year 10 to Year 13 students in an effort to enable students to take more responsibility for their own learning and to deepen the conversations that students, parents and teachers have around student learning.

Last weekend the Dunedin Youth Orchestra rehearsed at Otago Girls' High School. 

Otago Girls’ High School awards Sporting Blues to recognise outstanding achievement and participation. Criteria for an award of a Sports Blue are determined by individual sporting codes with the Board of Trustees approval. All awards are at the discretion of the Blues Committee.
