Things were just getting back to normal when the return to Covid Alert Level 2 occurred; for some days prior to that announcement on August 12th, the word was we were heading back to Level 3 with closed schools. And just like that, the wind came out of the sails for many of our young men.

Over the last two weeks we have celebrated te reo Māori - the Māori language.

2020 marked the second year of the Club Haka Challenge, an event that has quickly become a highlight in our school calendar.

The Whare Tū Taua o Aotearoa Grading was held on Friday 19th-21st September at Te Kohanga Whakawhaiti Marae, Pahiatua.

First staged in 1979, it aroused considerable ire in the rugby world, not least because the playwright, Greg McGee, was an All Black trialist and Junior AB. It took considerable guts on his part to give this degree of exposure to what would now be labelled a toxic culture.
