Last week was Year 9 activity week and this year it was chocka full of activities.

The English Department finished off the year with a hiss and a roar (well, perhaps more of a hum and a buzz) with our annual Year 9 Spelling Bee Competition on Monday morning.

Year 10 students had four great days of surfing and relaxing around the beaches of Dunedin.

The first trip to take off for the Year 10s was the Stewart Island trip - a new one for 2022.

Biking, swimming and soaking in the Central Otago surroundings - the students and staff on the Alexandra Camp enjoyed their week in the outdoors.

Last week 28 students and three staff travelled to the magnificent Mackenzie country for four days of adventure.

A few weeks ago a small number of students from Queen's High School who expressed an interest in Maths and Science attended a formal talk by Dr Shannon Walker at the Otago Museum.

Year 9 and 10 Interact members and other willing volunteers went to the Blind and Low Vision NZ on Hillside Road to decorate the hall for their upcoming Christmas function. The girls worked together to quickly and efficiently transform the hall into a welcoming and celebratory space. Another wonderful community service activity by our Queen's Ākonga.

Our Year 10 students had an amazing day at Forsyth Barr Stadium at Youthline and Coca-Cola’s Good2Great programme.
