Another busy fortnight has passed and the school holidays are now on the horizon which is an incredible thought!

Today we came together to celebrate Te Wiki o te reo Maori with a whole school hangi.

Te Wiki o Te Reo Maori was celebrated by our Kapa Haka boys with a workshop on Wednesday run by Matua Kuka and Matua Justin from Te Wananga o Aotearoa.

Four of our top speech-makers recently competed in speech competitions against students from other schools in our area. We even had a winner...

A group of Tall Poppies have spent this week competing in the Aims Games across three sporting events.

Last week the year 5 & 6 students competed against other Tauranga Schools in a range of winter sports.

This year we had 8 Year 5 and 6 students play in the netball competition at the mount and 13 Year 1 - 4 students participate in netball skills and mini games at Bethlehem College. 

The countdown is on ... next week is Book Week and the Scholastic Book Fair arrives on Tuesday 19th September.

The Tauriko School Choir performed at Baycourt last Monday night.

The Green Team have been hard at work over the last two weeks with Spring Planting.

Twilight Gala – Thursday 19th October 2017 – 4.30-7.30pm. 

It is time for registrations to be done for the up and coming summer. All sports on offer this time are only for term 4. Please remember that we cannot enter a team if we do not have coaches and managers. You don’t have to be an expert, just willing to have a go and perhaps do a little research on how the game is played.
