Hopefully, everyone playing for Tauriko School hockey and netball teams is settling well into their new teams this term. There sounds like there is lots of fun being had out there, which is great to hear and what it is all about.

We are excited to be working with Patrice from Gobsmacked again for our whole school production this term.

This is a FAMILY FUN EVENT which is being help on Sunday 5 May 2019. There is going to be five thousand specially-numbered rubber ducks launched from the waterfront on the Strand to vie for the finish line.

Tuesday the nineteenth of March was the second day of the Tall Poppies Art and Leadership camp. On this day we were doing activity rotations in the camp grounds. There was a bush walk and some orienteering but for many the favourite was the art.

Next Thursday, Lex Mawson from Parenting Place will visit Tauriko School to talk about the safe use of Technology.

Two of our Tall Poppies (Taylor and Georgia) were talented enough to take part in the recent Aspiring Athletes programme run by Sport BOP. In this article, Taylor is sharing about his experience.

On Friday the 5th of April, most of the Year 8’s went to Rotorua to learn about leadership.

At the end of term 1 the Tall poppies went on camp. Archery was one of the activities.

Late in Term 1 the Tall Poppies competed in the Cluster Swimming Sports.

On Wednesday the 20th of March while the Tall Poppies were away at camp, they took a trip to Adrenalin Forest.

As of Monday the tickets are on sale for the annual Tauriko School quiz night!
