Amberley School is entering into one of the most exciting phases of its history with a new principal starting soon, and the whole strategic direction of the school being discussed later this year. If you would like to take a part in this development and participate in the governance of our school then a seat on the Board of Trustees is awaiting you. Elections for parent representatives is occurring in May this year, for more information of what is required then please talk with anyone currently on the board or phone me, Nick Rutledge 3149973.

Monday 7th March Amberley School joined the other schools from the Kowai Cluster to compete in swimming.

This year the Moana Hub classes had their camp at the YMCA Camp in Wainui.

Rooms 7, 8 and 9 had a wonderful 3 days at Wainui, being challenged, trying new things, making new friends and eating tasty food cooked by our wonderful parent supporters.

In Week 4 we had 4 children showing PRIDE in class. We were on camp in Week 5 and all of our class showed perseverance and risk taking.

The school is still collecting egg cartons   (the ones that hold a dozen,   half dozen and also the cartons for big eggs   (not sure if it is a 8 or 10).   The free range egg farm pay the school 15 cents per carton,   plus we have had enquiries from other egg sellers.   They used to get egg cartons from recycling but the new scheme does not keep the cartons.   Cartons can be left in the large white box inside the front doors to the office.   

At assembly today, Rob from Southfuels presented us with two iPads. This is because Sam Douglas nominated Amberley School when buying his fuel from Southfuels. We are very appreciative of this amazing support. If you are a customer of Southfuels please contact them and nominate Amberley School to receive a donation on your behalf.   For every 2 litres of bulk fuel you purchase Southfuels donate 1 cent to our school. As you can see, every cent counts!

10 Crosses Road (in between Leithfield & Amberley)  

This class for 12-16 year olds offers an introduction to gym-based workouts utilising body weight exercises, stretching and cardio to help teenages build strength and fitness in a safe and fun way. There is particular focus on ensuring young people are taught to exercise safely and effectively without risking injury to growing bones and muscles.

Sunday 20th March, 4.15–6.00pm This month at Messy Church in the Anglican hall on Church Street, Amberley, we’ll have: *A Story ‘The Grand Parade’ (for Palm Sunday) *Songs *Crafts: MAKE HOT CROSS BUNS!
