On Tuesday 20th of June 160 kids went to Tawa Intermediate for the Annual Tawa / Rāroa sports exchange. It was the largest number of kids to be involved in an exchange to date. We took four buses there, one was even an old fashioned red double decker.

We are excited to announce that starting next term Rāroa will be facilitating Salat al-Jumu’ah (Friday prayer) every week.

This term Rāroa Intermediate celebrated Schools' Pride Week with a range of fun activities developed by our students and supported by our kaiako and staff.

Term 2 has been a feast for all of Motuhake’s learners with the banquet piled high with new maths strategies and writing tools as well as the overall fun-filled atmosphere.

Rāroa has a really positive relationship with our community policing team. We share the same goals related to safe environments, safe children and young people and safety education.

Over the last few weeks the Te Rangatahi rōpū have been busy in the community; visiting Crofton Downs Primary School and Early Impressions Play Centre.

This term, fifty students from the Ext(reme) Writing programme spent a couple of hours at Katherine Mansfield House and Garden in Tinakori Rd, Thorndon.
