Thanks to all for your support around our School Cross Country that was held yesterday. A neat afternoon for whanau and tamariki.

Wow! All the hard work paid off!

At the beginning of the week the children of Hub 14 and 16 noticed something a little bit special in the corner of one of our rooms. Hiding in amongst a pile of glitter was a little note written by some fairies.

On Wednesday the children took part in the annual Wakari School Cross Country. The weather was perfect, the children were excited and lots of families had come along to support. The children all ran so well and should be very proud of their efforts. Here are some reflections from the Room 14 and 16 writers on how their day went.

This term in Hub 1,2,3 we are learning the art of cardboard construction.

It was fabulous to see so many members of our Wakari School Community brave the chilly evening last term to come and be part of our Matariki Celebration evening at Warkari School!

The Rooms 12 and 13 Hub have had a great start to the Term. It was lovely to see all the smiling faces on the first day, even with the torrential rain it didn't dampen our spirits.

Hub 1,2,3 teachers are using the MuliLit programme as part of their balance literacy teaching.

The junior hub has been getting behind our kiwi athletes and learning about the Birmingham Commonwealth Games.

Senior Syndicate students are learning a range of musical instruments on Fridays.

The Seniors have been doing rugby league with Troy.

Mrs B's writing class has had fun writing about their holidays, however there was a twist! We had to write one truth and one one fib. Can you work out which is which? Some of them are really tricky! We shared them with Mrs B using Google Docs, so all she had to do was copy them into this article. Here are a few of them.
