What fun the Room 11 writers had watching the digger on the top field destroying the fence and retaining wall late last term. We were so excited that we wrote some poems. We hope you like reading them.

John Neumegen led some fabulous sessions recently with the Senior classes. Our focus was on 'Coping in Wartimes' and the kids produced some amazing pieces of art.

John took us on an interesting tour of the Art Gallery showing us lots of diverse pieces of art. We then got busy creating in the onsite classroom.

We were so proud of everyone's efforts in the Cross Country. Here are some of R6 and R7s favourite sentences from our 'moment in time' cross country writing.

In Room 10 and 11 we have been keeping up to date with the Tokyo Olympics and last week we wrote about what we would do if we were an Olympic Athlete.

It was fabulous to see so many members of our Wakari School Community brave the chilly July evening to come and be part of our first ever Matariki Celebration at Warkari School!

The Senior Hub have been looking at the journeys of our ancestors to New Zealand. Here are some excerpts of diary entries from Room 8, imagining they were there at the time.

We have had such a fabulous start to the term in the Rooms 4 and 5 Hub. It has certainly been very busy.
