Hall Rebuild & Master Plan Approved

Construction of our new Hall will begin next month and we hope to be able to use it in the first half of next year. The Hall will hold the entire school for assemblies and other functions and it will also provide a much needed space to showcase the performing arts.

CBHS Choir perform at the Big Sing

Choir Sing Big at "Big Sing"

The choir at CBHS has been enjoying a renaissance over the past couple of years under the continued direction of Barbara Mulholland and the new addition of Daniel Cooper (CBHS 2011-14) as assistant musical director. The choir relished the opportunity to perform at the regional Big Sing competition held at Knox Presbyterian Church on Friday 24 June.

Mathematicians Mix it with Canterbury's Best

On the evening of June 29th, Year 11 students from took part in the annual interschool Canterbury Mathematical Association Calculator Competition. In the teams event, our A team consisting of Rio Ogino, Jack Chapman, Jaeyoon Kim and Alex Goodenbaur finished 2nd equal, just one point behind the winning team, in the teams event.

Computer Concepts Limited is one of Christchurch’s leading ICT companies and earlier this year a partnership was established with CBHS. The video above shows last years class trips to CCL where two Year 10 classes visited their data centre and service desk.

30 riders took part in the recent South Island Championships that were held at Ruapuna race track over the first weekend of the holidays. The team rode three races over the two days. An individual time trial, the team time trial and the scratch race based on age group.
