Ruahine Foxton Kindergarten - a warm and welcoming environment for all, where every child is unique and special.

At Foxton, our child-focused educational programme reflects the strengths and interests of each child. We celebrate the individuality and mana of our tamariki and view each one as unique and special. Love, laughter and respect are fostered to promote friendships, social skills, confidence and independence.

Ruahine Foxton Kindergarten is an Enviroschool where children learn to care for Papatūānuku the Earth Mother, Te Atua and tikanga practices through everyday experiences such as gardening, recycling and caring for our chickens. We regularly go out into our local community and visit local schools, so transitioning from kindergarten to the next stage in learning is easier for tamariki.

Our very large and well-resourced environment is also a great meeting place for parents, where life-long relationships are nurtured. We value our families input, involvement and experiences and our supportive and caring teaching team are here for you and your child.

Ruahine Foxton Kindergarten is open Monday to Friday, 8.30am - 2.30pm, and closed over the Christmas and New Year break, as well as 13th January, 30th May, 7th – 10th July and 24th October when teachers are engaged in professional development.

Three, four and five year old's may attend our kindergarten up to 20 hours at no charge - ask our Head Teacher Sheree for a copy of our Terms of Trade when you come to visit.
